St. Louis de Montfort was inspired to pray for 33 days. You can begin at anytime, but as the app recommends you can time it so that you end on a Marian feast day, which is great way to end the ‘retreat’
It’s a Catholic App for Consecration to Jesus through Mary
Whichever Feast you choose will determine the date to begin a 33-day period of spiritual preparation, i.e., you follow spiritual exercises for 33 days, and the next day will be the Marian Feast on which you consecrate yourself.
The TotallyYours app has a great content, and helps you go through the total consecration to Jesus through Mary, showing you dates and times. It also sets up daily reminders so that you don’t miss a day on the retreat. You can customize the day and time of the reminders.
There were a few glitches in how the iPad (I use an iPad 3) versions looks, just a bit of misalignment, nothing major.
In app purchases
The app does encourage in app purchases of a prayer candle for $0.99. This section of the app didn’t work for me, I am not sure why. I believe that one was supposed to see all of the other candles that were lit nearby and their intentions, however, for me it showed only the map.
It is good free app, it has a few iPad issues, but all these aside, it gets you to pray the consecration of Jesus through Mary, which is a great retreat.
